Tying it All Together: HIV/AIDS Awareness and Curriculum Outcomesprovides a World AIDS Day education package. Its objective is “to educate youth on HIV/AIDS and its human impact both locally and globally.”

The package incorporates lesson plans and activities that would support teachers with a Red Ribbon Display Project. Included in the package, are the following:

• A guide called Handling Controversial Issues
• Glossary of Terms
• Model for Assessing Risk for HIV Transmission

In addition, the package:

• provides lesson overviews, debriefing and evaluation ideas, and options for follow-up and extension activities;
• provides tips for the educator where applicable; and
• dentifies the main Curriculum Entry Points.
