NSGA delivers programs in The Gambia. Program topics include, but are not limited to:
- gender equity
- environmental sustainability
- malaria prevention
- landmine sensitization and education
- sexual and reproductive health, including voluntary and confidential HIV testing and counselling
- environmental education
- sharing the success of Canadian-African development efforts and combating stereotypes
Interactive (drama and theatre, peer education) and multi-media (radio and community film shows) techniques foster youth leadership, develop skills, and encourage citizenship.
Projects receive support from national and international funders in addition to significant in-kind and financial contributions from individual participants.
