Almost ninety percent of NSGA’s annual budget in 2010 provided educational and health programs in West Africa and provided public education and awareness in Canada.
Many volunteers serving in administrative positions in Canada and Canadian volunteers who give their time and skills in programs in West Africa have held administrative and fund raising costs to just over ten percent of the total budget.
Revenue
NSGA is deeply indebted to the generous support of the many individual and institutional donors in Canada and abroad who believe we can make a difference in the lives and health of West African youth.
Government grants, primarily from the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), international donor agencies, and United Nations agencies provide three quarters of our annual revenue while the remaining is given by Canadians who strongly support the efforts of NSGA.

NSGA is committed to assuring donors that:
- Donations will be used appropriately, efficiently and accountably
- Fundraising and administrative costs will be kept to a minimum
- Finances are conducted in conformity with Canadian generally accepted accounting principals and auditing standards
- Annual audits are conducted by an independent chartered accounting firm
- Audited financial statements will be provided upon request
